Soft-Tissue Mobilization – ART, FAKTR Scraping

Soft-Tissue techniques such as Active Release Technique (ART) and FAKTR scraping can be used to target different structures such as muscles, ligaments, and tendons.

Flexion Distraction

Flexion-Distraction includes the use of a specialized, hydraulic driven chiropractic table in which the back portion of the table raises and lowers in a slow, fluid motion. This is used to open the joint spaces of the spinal vertebrae which decreases symptoms caused by disc herniations and bulges.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy involves the use of small suction cups to improve blood flow to a specific area and decrease tension in the areas surrounding the cups.

Dry Needling

Dry Needling is similar to acupuncture, but different in philosophy and methods of treatment. Dry needling is used to target specific trigger points in soft-tissues in order to facilitate and restart the healing process.

Individualized rehab prescription

Rehab is a crucial part of our treatments at PMC. We use all other treatment methods to improve biomechanics and decrease pain. We use rehab exercises to target the cause of the pain and dysfunction, so you can stay in your best condition for as long as possible.

Hot/ Cold Therapy

Hot and cold packs are used to supplement the treatments done on the table. Typically, we use hot packs to loosen tight muscles, and we use cold packs to decrease pain and unnecessary inflammation in an area.

Chiropractic Adjustments

Adjustments are small, quick thrusts targeting specific joint misalignments in the spine and extremities. These are used to decrease pain, restore range of motion of the joint, and improve biomechanical function of the body.

Compression Boots

Compression boots are used to decrease inflammation in the lower body and facilitate blood flow to the tissues in the leg.

Kinesiotaping

Kinesiotape is a strong, elastic type of tape that can be used to improve body awareness and provide stability to certain joints and movements. Kinesiotape can be used in competition, training, or everyday life to provide a reminder throughout the day to improve posture or encourage a different movement pattern.
